RAD-Planning, a specialty division of JUNK Architects, is a nationally acclaimed leader in Radiology and Imaging Design since 2001. The firm pioneered the development of design standards to protect the safety of patients and the continued operation and protection of imaging equipment. As one of the most advanced firms in the world at integrating safety and operational issues in the design of radiology suites, the firm has extensive and unmatched experience related to Diagnostic Imaging, with a special emphasis on MRI.
RAD-Planning staff were the only design professionals to sit on the American College of Radiology’s MR Safety Committee and to contribute to the American College of Radiology’s Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices: 2007. Additionally, the firm is the only one to have received a ‘Best Practices’ citation from the American Institute of Architects for their work in suite layout and design to promote MRI safety.
